Dogs and cats have no sense of timing. If we correct them, they look up astonished - 'why? what's wrong?' Same with Mr. YouKnow. So many times I want to yell 'Stop that! Just stop now!' but he would be astonished to know he was irritating me, and I'd feel guilty.
I had forgotten about your avocado seed project. It's looking good.
Somehow, and maybe it has always been this way, but I don't think it has, the presidency in general has started to be disrespected. I think it started with Bill Clinton; he was smart and all, but his term was tarnished by his lying about his personal life. Then we got the simpering clown - that didn't help. I didn't start out thinking he was a fool, he proved it to me over time.
And now all the red necks hate Barack Obama just because he's black, and they will never acknowledge that he can contribute anything, so they have done their best to see that nothing he tries to do will succeed just on that basis. I always have high hopes that everyone will try to get along better, regardless of who gets elected this year.
It's a shame those two girls don't help you with the dishes - their mother is a lost cause. Very early in our relationship I trained Mr. TBend to put his dishes in the dishwasher - none of this eat and run off like dogs at their dinner.
I really liked MIB No. 1, so am glad to hear No. 3 is good, too. My favorite scene in MIB 1 was those skinny monsters in the break room.
How lovely! First day of the season, I'm sure attendance will pick up. People really like those knitted dish cloths - the ones I've given them to just rave about them, so you'll probably get some repeat customers. Hugs to Angel - she looks irritated: probably didn't think she wanted that spot until it was taken, but now she does.
Hugs to all the kitties.
Very funny! I'll take the grannies word for it.
Very funny! Those theoatmeal folks really know what makes a kitty tick.
And the guy sneezing!
I love every bit of it. Where the cats swim through the river might have been the best part, but there are so many other best parts, such as the lint roller.
When I think of daily life at your house, I see Hobbes in charge. Our cat Buddy was like that - he herded his sister around, made up games for them to play, and dictated who would be where in the kitchen.
Yes, you need a new wardrobe. I like the idea of the shoulder shawl - smaller, more manageable. I haven't graduated to knitting shawls yet.
I didn't know they had splints to treat that. Isn't it odd how the pain is worse when you get up? You'd think resting all night would have been good.
It's marvelous how a long-lost memory can be triggered.
