Sounds like a great time. You and Allen look nice in your jackets.
I've been watching a lot of the old black and white movies from the 40s, 50s, and 60s, enjoying seeing familiar faces when they were decades younger. One thing I've noticed is that back in the day movies could run as long as they wanted, and they didn't appear to be edited tightly 'for pacing.'
You're welcome! I bought the last boxes of that mix in town and sent them to you. (But still have my eye out for another source.) I tried that cake from scratch, and it came out dry, so mixes are the way to go.
I think you nailed it - they are afraid to get too acquainted with the local needy folk too close to home because they might see one another on the street as equals once the project ended.
Very cute! Some renters of ours had a similar switch plate cover, not advertising. I'm glad they took it when they moved.
A friend of mine nurtured one of those Hermans for several years, foisting hundreds of muffins and tea breads off on friends and strangers alike. I've done a sour dough starter myself a couple of times, using it for pancakes, sandwich bread, and coffee cakes more than sweet, fruity breads. I might get one going this summer, I'm still trying to achieve an artisan-type loaf with big air holes in it.
She doesn't look impressed by that pile of treats, either.
With a name like that, I'd expect them to be using Mason jars for water glasses.
It's beautiful! The way the colors worked up is amazing, perfect for that pattern. Did you buy the specific yarn that went with the pattern? Send us that snow. Don't take any chances: box it up and send it here. With delivery confirmation.
Maybe the stainless steel surfaces have been improved over the years to not show fingerprints so much. I like those higher end dishwashers because they have varied spacing between the prongs and little clips on the racks for whatever. The cheaper ones have uniform spacing and it's harder to fit in the odd-sized dish or pan.
I love that picture.
Love it! The dog looks so competent, and there are so many different sequences. I'm sure there are subtle visual cues that we don't notice, but the dog just seems to know what to do.
The weather here in Colorado today was sunny and a little breezy, but warm enough to melt a lot of the snow. The river is opening up, but I hope we get some more cold weather and deep snows. Best wishes to all of the kitties, and looking forward to seeing your next painting.
Ohh! That's so sweet! Imagine all the good times they are going to have.
