That Time of Year

That time of the year-- FLU SEASON—its said that a new strain of virus is making it worse than other years,
That said both Cath and I have it at the moment even though we both had the flu and pnuemonia injections earlier , its not bad enough to put us to bed thank goodness, Cath has it worse than me she has been put on a stronger dose of antibiotics , we both do the necessary things aound the house.
The last 3 nights to hell with the cost I have been the cook-- Pizza-- KFC—and Woolworths special Tuesday nights, hot chicken along with hot chips from the fish and chip shop , I dont know if I will be able to keep it up, hard work this cooking bussiness.
Wednesday –have it planned already meat pies and mixed vegies from a can, whip it together in half an hour, piece of cake lol.

When I'm too beat to cook, we get take-out, but the clean up is the same. No eating from cartons for Ed. And of course, re-packing and sealing left-overs. Some Chinese containers, 'specially the aluminum ones with the lids that never go back on, I discard right away. I put those leftovers in a container with a snap-top lid. Anyway, no rest for the weary. Ed says but you didn't cook, why are you tired? Also, I am really not feeling well tonight and Ed made a face when I said we were eating leftovers from last night.

Yes, don't forget the piece of cake! Antibiotics don't treat a virus like the flu, although dosing people does make the antibiotics less and less effective when they are actually needed. Interesting that a doc would prescribe that for the flu.

Hope you get over it soon. It's so odd being reminded that your seasons are the reverse of mine. I dislike the heat, which is getting rev'd up again here.

And I bet you even serve it!!! Do you put it on plates and use silverware or just eat it out of the box with your fingers????
