Have been home for too long , December and January gone, kids are back to school ,so am off just for a week for starters, paid for 10 days at Blanchetown at travel auctions so am only going to take 5 this trip.
Travel auctions are real great , you just bid what you want to pay and presto if your in the first 50 bidders its yours , you pay for it and get a voucher and have 12 months to travel, usually I get them for half price .
Cath and I both have doctors appointments in the latter days of February , but march we have booked 2 x ten days at 2 caravan parks with jetties close to each other on York peninsular , only trouble is we have 6 days to kill in between but we know of a show ground that has power and its in between the two and cheap but good, so look out fish here we come.
Another are in the pipeline that we hope to get , Echuca an old port from the paddle steamer days , ten days there and turn for home but stopping at Heathcote for a few days with Glynn who was here a week back, also we have placed a bid in for another caravan park with jetty again on the peninsular, that will do for starters have another two we are thinking about.
No more of those real long trips , we intend to stay closer to home from now on , the cost of fuel and high costs of parks have got too much, parks that one paid $20 to 25 a night now charge $35 to $40, fuel –diesel is $1.50 a litre at most places , $1, 55 if you go off track at small towns
All of this will take us in to late April early May , then a appointment with a specialist to remove a wart on my eyebrow of all places.
