Went to MANNUM last week end for celebrations of the PS MARION'S 130th birthday,it is the oldest boat using a wood fired boiler on the river, owing to the rain we stayed an extra day in comfort the c/p. The boiler was made in England in 1906, last restoration was when the Marion was bought by the mannum museum and placed in the original dry dock where it was built 10 years ago, the boat had a complete restoration and is permantly moored there.
now days it does hourly cruises of a Sunday and 4 night passenger trips when it gets enough passengers to fill the berths.
Echuca in Victoria is the main river port for other old boats still being used.
Came to library to swap a book and have an hours use of computer , so a bit more of a quickie ---FREDO you behave yourself lmao
