P C up and Running

damage bill---$140 , ouch that hurt the pocket a bit , along with ink for printer cost $180 total .
The ink I use is TONNY its about half price of CANNON ink have been using it for years and prints out real good, I used it when I was printing post cards, its cheaper to get photo's printed @ 13 cents at Kmart or Woolworths .
Last Wednesday I had that growth on my eyelid removed and boy the pain killing needle he used was BLOODY painful , Cath who was in the waiting room heard me say a few words lmao it was worse than a cortisone injection .
The nurse told me I would have a black' eye for a few days , well it didn't go black but bright red instead red instead, go back again this Wednesday to have stitches remove , another health problem fixed ,
The next one is to have a cataract removed from right eye, have been on hospital list for 8 months and its just as well its not urgent as I can still read with the left one shut but its blurry, having cholesterol checks in July also my driving license annual eyesight test is due , all drivers over 70 must have test annually done by own doctor .

I hope you didn't find those fingers on the floor.
I've been wearing specs for the past 51 years and at my last check up I found out cataracts have begun to form.

PC
DH and I walked into the darkened theatre, late. He leaned over and whispered, "Where do you want to sit?" I looked around at a sea of blackness and replied, "I can't see." He thought I meant we were too far back for me to see the performers on stage but I simply could not see anything. Luckily, he could and found some empty seats.

Time for glasses Marg, first got mine when using meat saw , lost sight of where my fingers were and couldn't read digital scales as well

I am glad your P.C. is going strong. If we aren't getting fixed then one of our belongings is in the shop! Hard on the budget.

Cataract surgery is now a common procedure and very helpful. I had both eyes done, several months apart. Afterwards, your vision will be markedly improved and many do not any longer need glasses. FYI, in some people (I am one), the immune system doesn't like the lens and forms a film on the eye and this too has to be removed -- simple procedure. Just fine now. Good luckwith it all.

There must be a queue at hospital waiting for surgery but I find it better driving without glasses , as long as I don't get caught as its an offence for me to drive without them on . last year the doc asked me why I wear them , they are bifocals and need them for reading

I can feel you pain on the pain killer shots. Ouch! In one of the Travis McGee books (John D MacDonald), an old lady says her cataracts are ripening, and Travis McGee tells us that just means letting them get so bad that when the surgery is finally done, she will be more pleased with the results.
