Thought I had bought a pup when the easy cap disc wouldn't install, spent 2 hrs with no result , last night Kym had brought up the install panel for it and as she was going out for dinner I said leave it to me----- should be able to do it from there.
Famous last word those as it disappeared again , tried a few more times then gave it away as a bad job, at it again this morning with still no luck , looked in other forums and saw that I wasn't alone , some people had been sold duds that were useless others couldn't make it work at all. One thing in common that we all had was that we were using windows 7 .
Kym came home after lunch left it for awhile so as she could relax before hitting her again with this bloody problem, she tried just about everything , even lost the USB driver once altogether and had to find the right driver to install for it to operate.
Was in windows seven forum looking for drivers when she came upon a post about easy cap driver and where to get it , hooray we both thought bewdy will download that ,, you guessed it no way could we get it to download unless we paid for it , bugger that back to the forum in umpteenth page we actually found out why , some kind soul had simply said in a post 2 years back advising someone else that it would not work in windows 7 and to put in another driver that is needed , we tried that with no result , back to the forum , in next reply post we find out at long last it wont work in windows 7 at all.
So why in hell does windows forum still insist it does , has over 100 looking how in there.
Now when my laptop went haywire Kym lent me an old pc with xp on it. so I hooked that up, put in the disc and hey presto it worked , its too late tonight to hook up the vhs , I have axe on standby in case. HEY it ain’t funny
