Wind Damages ...

Trees are snapped, wires down and stuff is blowing all over the place here. We are having steady 45 mph winds with gusts over 75 mph. Here's a pic I just took at 6 p.m. Sunday of my back yard. The child's pool is from the neighbor on the right side of the photo. It must have flown over the tall hedges.

The house is really shaking again. If I lose power, I'll see ya!

We had almost 7 inches of rain in the last few days, but no wind! Looks like your town will have a lot of cleanup.

we had some wind here, a few tree branches down in various parts of town. The electric went out for a coupla minutes (the hampster that runs in the wheel down at the power company must have become frightened.) Its cloudy here but much cooler than the last coupla days. Glad you made it through.

Oh my!! You guys got it worse than we did here. IKE was a huge storm. It was 600 miles wide at one point. It went just east and north of us so all we got was light rain and a breeze and lots of clouds. We were very fortunate. We were under Tropical Storm Wind Warnings here in the D/FW area. But it took a jog to the east and missed us for the most part but, not by much.

Stay safe and be careful there.

No. The pool wasn't full of water.

WHOA! My anemometer clocked a gust at 78 mph! That's over hurricane force! A large limb broke off the neighbor's overgrown maple out front and fell across the cab of his pickup. Dented it. Tomorrow is trash pickup morning. Many people over load the bins and leave the lids off the top, so I can imagine all the crap flying around by morning. I have already gone out to gather plastic bags and McDonald's trash.
