I just came back from an hour spent daydreaming about nothing for about two weeks. During that long period of sitting Zen, I managed to visit several universes (there ARE others!!!) and have lunch with a beautiful woman, whose name escapes me, but whose beauty would have sunk a thousand ships. She constantly picked her nose while I tried to consume a nice piece of undercooked salmon atop a spinach salad coated with crumbled Gorgonzola. Then the elves came along, snatched away the tablecloth and suddenly, there I was, sitting funny-legged on the living room floor, a cat asleep in my lap, and the bird above my head tossing seeds at me from his cage.
Ah. I love to do that.
Try it sometime. It makes the troubles swim away.

I want to go to Spain. I want to visit and roam a little part of the Costa Brava. The seaside ville of Cadaques and its nearby smaller place called Portligat, where Salvador Dali lived and worked, are probably the most beautiful anywhere west of the Cote d'Azur. Dali was born (and died) just a few kilometers west in the town of Figueres, which has the Dali Museo. Cadaques has made a museum of his former home and studio.
Ever eat Tapas? Go to Spain and try it. The Chinese call it "dim sum."

Tonight is our Rotary Charity Auction. It will be televised here on Ch. 21, from the Ritz Theater. I am going there "live" because one of my small paintings is in the first block of the auction. It is the one titled POPLARS BY A POND. It was one of the items featured in a special insert section of the Sunday newspaper here. My name in print again. People keep pointing it out to me, but, hey.

If you want a tasty treat, go to the supermarket frozen food section and snap up a few Stouffer's Panini sandwiches. They are new. Easy to fix. Microwave. Scrumptious, and they didn't hurt my gall thingy. I went today because it is senior discount day and I had a fistfull of coupons. I bought a ton of them and stuffed them in my freezer.
They also have those thinner Italian sandwich things called spumoni or something. Damn good. I scored some thin crust frozen pizzas, too. Good for basketball TV. With coupons, I paid less than fifty cents apiece for the medium size.
Knock me down! I don't usually do much frozen box stuff but at these prices... hey. We're having a recessive depression here. I can't afford Taco Bell any more. McDonald's is too expensive for me. It is much cheaper to fix your own stuff at home. Besides, McDonald's and nutrition live on separate planets.
I'll eat frozen stuff. I'm not that proud.

Baseball comes next week. God is smiling.
