A man came to the Pearly Gates and was welcomed by St Peter, behind whom was a vast wall covered with clocks.

The man asked St Peter: "What are all those clocks for" ?

St Peter replied "Those are the Lie Clocks, every time someone tells a lie their clock moves, that one up there is Mother Teresa's clock it has never moved, the one down there is Abraham Lincoln's, it has only moved twice"

The man asked, "Where is Rush Limbaugh's clock" ?

"It is in Jesus' office being used as a ceiling fan"

This morning my Krups coffee machine gave up its ghost. Bought back in CA in 1995, it served its master well and made very good brew. It had a regular drip side and an espresso/cappucino side. Sic transit gloria.

I kept the "old" one that the Krups displaced. It is a Black & Decker hanging drip machine. It went with me after I sold the Long Beach house to my sister's ranch and then on to Ohio, stored in dusty cabin and basement.

I just went down and found it, brought it upstairs and unpacked it.

I measured the height from the counter to the bottom of the overhead cabinet. Fourteen and a half inches.

Then I put the thing together and measured the total height of the machine with the coffee container in it. Fourteen inches.

Whew. I will have a half inch to play with!

I am going to shower and get dressed. Then I will go to McDonald's to get a decent cup of coffee. After that, I am coming back and installing my new old coffee maker.

Got to have that morning brew!
