THE ROUGH RIDERS
48" x 36" acrylic on canvas
1975, during my first marriage in Peninsula, Ohio, I painted large food subjects and stark contrasty brush paintings like this. A friend of mine in Peninsula - who I visited today - now has it and is giving it to me! I have to find a vehicle with large enough space available to transport it down to my location, about a hundred mile trip.

Other than the dark greens and light color, the only real color is in the flag.
