I hear that the newer European type water heaters that only heat the water when you need it are more efficient, use less power and will last longer.

The German people (Dem Deutsche Volk)could have stopped Adolf Hitler after the 1933 election, but he manipulated his office of Chancellor to get the President to retire, and he never filled the office that Hindenberg vacated. He also immediately put his brownshirts into the local offices, especially the Gauleiters and police forces. Once that was accomplished, the country was in his hands. The Trumists already control most state Governorships and legislatures. We are in deep ####.

I am a poll worker (PEO, 'Precinct Election Official.') Our instructions are, 1. as usual, no electioneering or interference within the area set by the placement of the US flags, which are placed outside the polling place 100 feet in each direction. 2. If these areas are entered by persons stopping, inquiring or otherwise hindering people who are coming to vote, call the Board of Elections and a deputy sheriff. 3. If anyone enters the polling place wearing electioneering items such as shirts, buttons or caps with campaign slogans or names printed or embroidered on such items, ask them to remove the items or to leave. If they do not comply, refuse their attempt to secure a ballot and call the Board of Elections.
All these rules are Ohio Law.
I have never had to invoke them but two years ago in a primary election I asked a man to go out and turn his shirt inside out. It was a shirt with a campaign slogan printed on it. He complied.

Ohio is a 'battleground'state,so most commercials here are political. They even run them on the Cartoon Network!

A snake in the mailbox would do it. Maybe a poisonous one.

I give two of my cats coconut oil every day. It helps with their butts and it seems to make their coats softer.

Neighbors. My house is the only single occupant home in my neighborhood. All the other houses have been turned into various rental apartments. They come and go often, usually within a couple months, after skipping the last month's rent. This neighborhood also has a very high arrestor bust rate. Mostly, those are drug related. I think one neighbor on my west side has left in the night. They have a bare 'fire pit' in the middle of the overgrown back yard. They had been burning a huge stack of wooden furniture and particle board. When you burn the latter you get the worst chemical smoke in all the universe. I cannot have open windows. Hopefully, that has ended now. I still can't imagine anyone walking around with that smell/stench embedded in their clothing and hair.

I learned one thing: Never ever go on a trip with Tom Hanks. Something will go wrong! (I.e., getting stranded on a desert island or landing in the Hudson River. LOL)
