The Month of Janus ...

January is named for the Roman god Janus. Janus was the god of doorways. The first month was the "doorway" to the next year. You will recognize Janus because the god was depicted as having two faces, one forward and one backward.

January has more than two faces for me. I have painted three works since New Years Day. The third will be framed and hung today. After that I must take a hiatus until I can get some important things completed.

1. Pay some bills.
2. Finish a restaurant's website update.
3. Mounds of paperwork regarding my pending bankruptcy.
4. A thorough housecleaning.

I was asked if I am not ashamed that I am filing bankruptcy. The answer is no. We explored all the options. I have no recourse. It is a simple as that.

They can take whatever they wish. They cannot jail me, exile me, enslave me, kill me or eat me.

As for the rest, tempus fugits.

When I get all these things finished, I will get out the brushes again.

I have work to do. This doesn't mean I am going away. I will always be here at MyBloggers. So will Hobbie.

I know how you feel Jon. Losing our house made me feel like the biggest loser ever. but sometimes life just throws you curve ball after curve ball and you can't bounce back.

So sorry about the financial woes, but there is no shame in taking bankruptcy. Sometimes it is the only way out and people often wait too late to take it.

Wow! You have been really busy with the painting. We are all blessed to get to see it.
I don't think there is anything to be ashamed of with filing for bankruptcy. You have done everything you could to avoid it.
Best of luck with your to-do list.
