I see where AIG has changed its corporate identity to AIU (American International Underwriters.)
Say it fast and it sounds like I.O.U., which would be more accurate.
That is the way it goes now. If you change what you call it, it doesn't sound so bad. It is the "politically correct' way of absurd thinking.
The PC crowd changed "stupid" into mentally challenged. They changed "toxic assets" yesterday into "legacy loans."
Maybe they will change "Federal deficit" into something that sounds nicer, such as "deferred shortfall," or "extra-generational legacy."
How about a Tea Party, folks?
