Even that is wider than parts of the shoulder of the road I live on. I used to be able to walk the distance in 45 minute. A half-mile is about the limit now, so I'm stuck waiting for the ole lady.
I'm the cook around here and we don't have bottles to be washed.
I thought about one of those scooters to get myself to town--7K round trip. There's a guy who rides a lawn mower around the Village, so why not. But there is barely a foot of shoulder on this road and the ole lady thinks it's too dangerous. Sometimes she's right, so I wait for a ride with a licensed driver.

That isn't the kind of soup I'd prefer no matter who makes it. Donna like an occasional bean but I never developed a taste for them. Winter sucks here too. We finally had two sunny days after 21 cloudy or cloudy with snow. The streak will end tomorrow with a few inches of snow. But the days are getting noticeably longer, I focus on that.

This is sad to read. I have always looked to you as an example of how to live long and prosper. I started to learn to live present about 20 years ago. I learned that thoughts and feeling can be mental clutter if they serve no practical purpose. I don't get upset about politics or anything else unless I plan to do something about the situation. Donna keeps us safe. I'm not reckless but I follow the science and try to remember to be as cautious as possible. But I'd like to go out more often even if it was only to shop. Aside from that, I have more to do in 24 hours than I can so there is no chance that I'll get bored. I was scheduled to have my knees injected with "chicken juice" on Wednesday but they called yesterday to reschedule. I'm on the cancellation list so hopefully something will come up before mid-February when the new appointment is scheduled for. The provider is only in town on Wednesday. I know you are resilient so hopefully things will flip for you! In the mean time, stay safe.

NY is democratic so we don't have this problem and the other states don't get any play. At least trump found out that he can't count on the police and military to assist in his coup.

We got almost three times as much snow as you did here in the western Catskills and no mail as be brought in for two days. A heater I ordered on Sunday from Amazon has been "lost" in transit. They said it may still arrive but they issued a full refund. Does that mean I might get a free heater? Something like that happened with FedEx a few months and I ended up with two coffee makers for the price of one since they shipped a replacement for the "missing" one that showed up! What a wonderful world!
