Jenn and I packed Saturday in anticipation of our trip to the border. We finished an outstanding Sunday service around 2:30pm on Sunday and rushed home for a quick lunch and clothes change. On the road by 3pm! We stayed four hours from home with some friends in San Luis Potosi. Early Monday, on the road again all the way to the border. 12 hour road trip all told.
Pictures aren't possible right not, but we saw some beautiful scenery. Mexico is truly beautiful, if you can get out of the cities and towns.
There was something totally bloggable about this trip, but it slips my mind at this point.
We hauled a boat load of household and clothing things belonging to our friend who worked with us for a few months. She was glad to get her stuff back. We were coming this way anyhow, so she and her dad drove down (19 hours in rain) to meet us here.
We're just living it up, enjoying a few of the nice things belonging to the American way of life before we return to our rather backwards part of the country.
I'm writing to you from the totally sweet deal of a MacBook I found at BestBuy. I've been converted in more ways than one. So far, I love Mac. There's a bit of a learning curve, but supposedly these computers last longer, run faster and generally outperform PC's by yards (or meters, Marg). This is the next-to-the-most-recent model, so I got a steal and 1 year GeekSquad warranty, a flash drive and a totally sweet sleeve for it, as well as some pre-installed software. Our resident recreational photographer (the lovely Jenn) got a new camera, so life is good.
