Taiwan Trip Day 1

We got up at 3:00am this morning to leave for the Guadalajara airport. I think we went to sleep at 1:00 or something. The security people had a cow when they saw Jennifer's forty-nine (+ or -) crochet needles. So, we had to go back to ticketing and recall our bags so we could put her needles back in the luggage. I knew they were allowed because I had already looked it up online for her, but the security people were adamant. So we recalled the bags, tromped around the airport a couple of times chasing them down and put away those life-threatening crochet needles! Once we got to LA, we took them out and put them back in the carry-on. I suggested she choose just a few, instead of all forty-nine (+ or -). LOL
So, we are sitting in the waiting room in LA, getting ready to board our plane to Tokyo. Thirteen hours, I think. In the words of my mother, I hope we don't fall into the water. So far, so good. We're having a blast!
