...or one and a half. I don't know anymore. I'm totally confused. We just flew ten and a half hours keeping up with the ever setting sun. So, is it really tomorrow or did we skip tomorrow all together? Could I remain eternally young if I just kept flying west for the rest of my life?
The kind Japanese stewardesses maintained a pleasant, plastered smile throughout the eleven hour duration. I don't know how they did it. Even their eyes smiled. The came by every fifteen minutes with more to eat or drink. I ate and drank stuff I'll probably never be able to pronounce, much less describe. It was all GOOD!
I stink, I'm worn out and I'm probably cranky, but I'm really having a blast. I'm writing from the Tokyo airport, first time in Japan. It's disconcerting to see strange scribbles everywhere you look and hear strange syllables all around you. We went to a convenience store and I couldn't even tell what was in the packages there. Looked like food and drink, but who knows for sure. I DID get some good jasmine tea and a bottle of water. That was hard to mistake, unless it was vodka, in which case I'll be totally wasted here in just a few minutes. LOL
