You really do. I fully intended to blog about our trip at least every three days and it appears that Day Seven was the last post on a thirteen day trip. So sorry.
So, here's the abbreviated version of what followed:
We stayed few days in Taichung, loaded up those heavy suitcases filled with Jennifer's books and headed for Taipei. We had so much fun there, just walking around and eating and traveling back and forth on the MRT, Taipei's ultra-modern subway rail system.
I thoroughly enjoyed a visit to the National Palace Museum filled with treasures from China's rich and long history. I enjoyed it so much, that I returned the very next day to participate in a guided tour of the permanent exhibits. Thank goodness for tour guides with a sense of humor. He turned a normal museum tour into an enjoyable learning experience. BTW, did you know that the swastika appears in four eastern cultures thousands of years before Hitler ever lived?
We visited a church in Taipei for their English services on Sunday and chatted with the pastor and others briefly afterward. Monday we returned to Taichung to meet with a friend and have lunch.
Tuesday was spent traveling back to Mexico. We are dealing with jet lag valiantly, but it's killing us. It's getting better, though. So, there you have it!
