My Little Boy

I wanted to test my new camera that arrived today so I thought I would take a picture of my little boy as you can see from the picture he is no ordinary boy but a Springer Spaniel, his name is Bertie and in need of a trip to the dog groomers, when he goes to get clipped again im going to get the girl to save the trimmings for me to spin and see what I can come up with.

We also have two other dogs but they seem to be a bit camera shy today.

I've always found Springer Spaniel's to be an interesting and beautiful breed. Nice picture.

Around here that's called 'deer in the headlights look.' He does it really well, better than the deer themselves.

He looks a bit perturbed over being disturbed.
You don't want to spin clippings. You want to spin brushings. The soft, downy undercoat that is left on the brush when you brush him. Clippings would be full of unspinnable guard hairs. The Knitting with Dog Hair book my mom lent me says that unless you are an experienced spinner you should blend his hair with longer hair from something else like sheep's wool.
I have a plastic bag with the brushings from Nicky (our dog who passed away), Peaches and Angel. I'd like to knit a felted bowl with it.
