Holiday in London

Well Monday was Adrians 43rd birthday and we decided to go to London for a few days to see the sights well we got back today so I thought I would share the photos with you all London is the biggest city in Europe it covers an area 600 miles square.

This was our room at the Wemberly Travelodge it was basic but clean and cheap.

This was the view from our hotel window in the background is Wemberly Stadium.

The church of st martin in the field this is at Trafalgar Square.

I took this picture especially for Nittineedles this is Canada House the Canadian Embassy in London.

Me wishing I hadn't worn those shoes my feet were killing me plus I had really bad toothache.

The National Gallery.

The Gates to China Town.

The Prince of Wales Theater currently showing Mamma Mia.

The best steak in London.

Just opened this spring.

Londons "time square" Picadilly Circus.

Here Kitty Kitty!!!

Not only am I a fabulous knitter but I also like sewing so I made Adrian take me to the Victoria and Albert museum to see the new fashion exhibit and this is Princess Dianas famous pearl dress now I don't voice my opinions of the late princess very often but she had wonderful taste for a slapper.

The exhibit has clothing from the early 1800's to present day.

As you can tell I wasn't much interested with the mens part of the display because it was boring not as nice and delicate as the ladies.

A Victorian Wedding Dress.

The Victoria and Albert museum covers an area of 6 miles square and houses over 4,000,000,000 artifacts from around the world.

The Merchant Navy War Memorial and in the Next Picture My Great Grandfathers Name Bore C.F this memorial is in memory of all those lost on fishing vessels merchant ships and mine sweepers during the 2nd world war.
