Good Thursday, Blog Pals:
It is the 8th of October and it is snowing here in Cow Snot...and sticking. There is about an inch or so on the ground now, as we speak(write). According to local weather twerps, this weekend is 'asposed to be wicked. Guess we don't get an autumn this year. So, I'm sitting here in a tee shirt noting the current temp(28 degrees) and thinking "hey, its not that cold in here. I'm comfortable enough." Then I open the drapes and see the snow cascading down. I suddenly develop a chill and run shivering for a sweater. I desparately need counciling.
Well, my visit to the cardiologist went ok. The doctor is a middle aged American whom I can actually unnderstand when he speaks. He has a huge bald spot in the back of his head and the world's worst comb-over....and is a bit of an air-head. He misread the date on my emergency room visit
Dr. Sandtrap: "You were admited to the E.R. in June?"
Me: "No, September."
Dr. Sandtrap: (looking at computer screen) "You are mistaken. It says here 'June 9th'"
Me (shaking head dubiously) "I'm sure it was September....it was over Labor Day Weekend in fact."
Dr. Sandtrap(looking again at screen): "Oh, yes...I'm sorry....my mistake. It was 9/6 not 6/9."
This instills me with a lot of confidence. I sure hope he doesn't diagnose my hemrhoids as a brain tumor. So, he has scheduled me for yet another stress test and an echo-cardiogram which is kind of a cool procedure. You get to see yer heart beating on a screen. Since its difficult for me to do the tread mill deal now due to my knee situation, they are gonna inject me with something to speed up my heart. Should be interesting. Hope I don't have an arrest. It should be perfectly safe, however. I've known people who've had it and they came through it just fine. I worry and fret entirely too much.
