Suckster the Ghost Town

I was just over at Blogster for a minute to see if anything was going on. NOTHING MUCH! It's a ghost town. I'm sure it will die like so many of the other dot coms of yesteryear.

I am feeling better today. I felt crappy yesterday in the afternoon, but I started feeling better last night.

We went out last night to this place called the Texas Roadhouse and has a fantabulous steak dinner. Roger had the NY strip with a cup of chili, sweet potato, and some baked beans. I has the fillet medallions which are just fillet mignon served over a bed of seasoned rice. I also had a salad and a few of the potato skins we ordered. Then we went, yet again, over to Walmart. It's too much. At least it was not very busy.

I have to really get on my homework. I have a test on four chapters on Tuesday. I'm making a simple pot roast for dinner. Have a great weekend.

They are making changes over there little by little but so many of the nice people are over here now (though I hear 2 of the big trouble makers are talking about coming here--hope not--we are really doing fine without them.)

I'm back on my diet but Monday, after I have my MRI (if I don't chicken out again!!)going to Steak & Ale for their prime rib special--I'm salivating already--nothing like a good piece of meat. (hey, get your mind out of the gutter--there's only room for mine there!

I can't even log into my blogster account anymore -- which sucks, since I have all my old posts there which I sort of wanted to transfer here. Oh well. I guess its not a big deal.

For every cow/steer that's turned into steaks, half an acre of Brazilian rainforest is destroyed to grow soy beans to ship to the feedlots where cattle are imprisoned in appalling conditions until slaughter. Half an Amazonian Indian also loses his livelihood and is forced to move to overcrowded slums in gigantic mega cities to live a life of crime, prostitution and misery. Enjoy your steaks.
BTW... visiting places like Walmart is now a recognised addiction and is deleterious to health. I believe there are clinics now to treat such problems, although the withdrawal symptoms can be severe.... compensated by the feeling of pride in not wasting the earth's resources.

My barbecue grill is covered with ten inches of ice and snow. When it is all gone, I'll do the steaks!
