40 years ago time stopped and a new day began. A revolution began, one that would span from then to now and beyond. It stopped a war, reshaped politics, it changed how we look at our selves-at others and at our morals.
It caused debates that go on to this day. It both healed divisions and created more. It put flowers in our hair, peace in our hearts, and the stars in our eyes.
My brothers and I found our voice. We all wore a peace sign. It didn’t matter if we were in Detroit or San Francisco or Saigon. Our voices stopped a war and a President.
One wrong conclusion that came from this was that the soldier was the villain not government. A fact that has to this day harmed and continued to harm America’s truest patriots.
But this was an event that changed our world.
There will be more music -there will be 3 days of love and Peace.
But there was and will be only one Woodstock.
