Finding Time ...

Time has once again been hard to find when it comes to Blogging. This time of year becomes busier, and as Spring turns into Summer thoughts of Blogging become a distant memory… :(

This morning I had some time, so what better to talk about than……

IDOL!

But before I get to Idol I would like to take a moment and talk a little about a show that is not often talked about here.

Just this season I started watching a show called “The Biggest Loser.”

In the first few weeks I found the show interesting, but I really couldn’t say if it held my attention… It seemed to me there were so many twists and turns and that really turned me off to the show. However… Sticking with it the contestants became more “real” to me and their transformations during the course of the show were nothing less than inspiring!

Now while I don’t have a large amount of weight to lose as many of them do, I am very health conscious and would love to see some of these hips disappear. **sigh** (After 4 kids, I still wonder if it’s possible?) LOL

Anyhoo – During the last 5 weeks or so I found myself crying each episode and rooting with all my heart and soul for these wonderful people to succeed.

I was delighted to see my favorite Ali win the show this week and make history as the first Female Biggest Loser! Way to go Ali!!

Any show that can help inspire people to not only lose weight but also lead a healthier lifestyle.. wins my vote!!

Looking forward to the next season!

Now – On to IDOL

First let me say –

Goodbye Kristy Lee Cook – You hung on way longer than anyone thought you would – But it was definitely time to see you go

Secondly –
Many of you will remember Elliott Yamin from 2 seasons ago.

As the world fell in love with this gentle singer, we also fell in love with his mom Claudette. I simply can’t remember a single time she was not in the audience rooting her son on.
Sadly Claudette died 2 weeks ago. The cause is still unknown.

As Elliott finished singing last night he held out his hand – It read simply –
“We miss you mom”

My favorites are still Carly Smithson – (Although she totally bombed when singing my favorite Queen song EVER) LOL
Followed by David Cook – (His Billie Jean was AMAZING!!)

Well it’s time to see what’s new in your worlds –

Gem~

I found Biggest Loser to be fascinating as well. It always kind of inspired me to try to help someone else lose weight. Not an easy job. Great Post!

Being skinny, I can't exactly relate. Although I have to work at it like everybody else. Now, get out and garden!

I also watched The Biggest Loser this year. It rocked! I'm so glad a woman won -- she totally deserved it too.

That biggest loser is an incredible show, I was glad to see her win!

I watched the last 4 shows of the Biggest Loser (but fell asleep during the finale), so I'm very happy to read on your blog that Ali won!! I really didn't think she would win -- she had lost so much weight, I didn't think she could lose any more! I'll have to watch the next season of it. It's certainly motivating to anyone that wants to lose weight, maintain their weight, or just stay healthy.

David Cook is awesome. I like Carly, but would like to see her stretch herself a bit. She always does these BIG songs. I'd like to see her sing a ballad or something sweet. David is just amazing. He didn't start that way, but he sure has bloomed. I still think David Archuleta is going to be scooped up by the Disney Channel the minute he's done with Idol. He's this cute little unassuming 17 year old, fresh as a flower. He'll be a Disney talent no doubt!

I watched the Biggest Loser for the first time this week. It was amazing when you look at the before and after pictures. They don't seem like the same person... so fit and fine looking! They did a LOT of work!

Ugh! This whole time, I realized that I didn't subscribe to your blog! Doh! I feel like a doofus! I think it might be either David Cook or David Archullela (spelling?)..even though there is something about David A's voice that I don't like. I mean, he's good for his age just not for me. Maybe it's because he is not rocker style music. lol! That sounds so bad don't it?

Arg... I am not a Carly fan at all because she had a record deal... that's like CHEATING, although it's not technically cheating. I just feel she has an edge.
I like David Cook. I loved Billie Jean as well.
I was sad to see Kristy go. She spelled her name so well.
