I just heard about Huckleberry Finn being edited. I think it is downright criminal.
Those books gave me so much pleasure and made me laugh out loud. I hate to see them tampered with. Slavery was a blot on our history but I don't think we can change it by altering a classic.
It is censorship, and censorship of anything is an intellectual crime, punishable by eternal shame.
