Italian Lady

The funeral will be on Monday morning at eight.
Very early and Church afterward.
Surprised they did not wake him for a couple of days?
This is fine with me.
My daughter will be driving me down and not sure what day that we will be going. She has to see if she can get the time off from work.
Normally they allow you 3 days for family death.
This is in Sturbridge MA.
It is only a couple of hours from here.
We still do not know where we are going and waiting to hear from my Sister in Law for information.
Cheryl want to get the GPS set up for her.
So I am leaving this with a little humor and hope that you enjoyed it.

An Italian woman married an American gentleman and they lived happily ever after in Pittsburgh. The poor lady was not very proficient in English, but did manage to communicate with her husband. The real problem arose whenever she had to shop for groceries.

One day, she went to the butcher and wanted to buy chicken legs. She didn't know how to put forward her request, so, in desperation, she clucked like a chicken and lifted up her skirt to show her thighs. Her butcher got the message and gave her the chicken legs.

Next day she needed to get chicken breasts, again she didn't know how to say it, so she clucked like a chicken and unbuttoned her blouse to show the butcher her breasts. The butcher understood again and gave her some chicken breasts.

On the 3rd day, the poor lady needed to buy sausages. Unable to find a way to communicate this, she brought her husband to the store.

What were you thinking?

Her husband speaks English!

Now get back to your emails.

I worry about you sometimes.

The good thing about funerals is the opportunity to reconnect with family. I'm sorry to see so many people these days don't have them at all.

Yes,it is nice to reconnect but not like this way.But this seemed to happen most of the time.
Never have time to visit visa versa.Everyone is busy.Oh!well life goes on and just to the best that you can.

My mind was in the gutter. I couldn't help but think when I saw that
picture how much living that woman's face showed. Once she was young and
pretty and life carved those lines in her face. It is a powerful picture.
I am sad for you Fredo. Just be glad your brother had a long life.

yes,he did have a long life. The woman is typical for this the older one.
You can tell the work that she does by just looking at her face.
These woman always working in the vineyard etc.
Even today they still wait on their man.
I told you the story when we were in Italy visiting my relative as we were taking a stroll and the women stay behind us.I thought that this was not right and ask them if they were comfortable being up front. They wave at me no.So you can see all of the lines in her face how hard that she worked for her family. The man first. Not sure if this going on today but do not think so.
But one thing about this as they were very happy in doing this, never complain.
Some thing that American young people should pick up on this.
