I Goofed(what Else is New Lol)

Well I goofed. You got the wrong pictures of my table as this was from last year. This is the table setting for this year.
The first post that I did,the table setting was from last yer.

Did not change much, just the color of place mat and napkins.
Noticed that we had the same type of flowers.
Mike did an A+on the dinner.
The pork came out just right and the vegetables were great.
Before that we had a lovely visit with Cheryl and Bob.
We did not want to talk about her havoc with her boyfriend.
She gave me on of those wrap around fleece heated throw.
It is to keep me warm while reading or watching TV.
So much for old age.LOL
The day turned out great as we were all happy all around.
Playing Christmas Carol music.
Now I had enough of that and want to stop jingling.LOL.
After they left.We took a nap and watch an episode of "Mentalist"
Then we attack the dishes and now we are hanging out just the three of us and enjoying one another.
I will be very happy to get my life going back on schedule.
Tennis Anyone.
Hope you all had a good day as we did.
Did you enjoy your presents.Tell us or show us,we loved to hear from you.
Even though we have chill in the air,the weather was great for us and no problem.Good afternoon.
From the pupils at the School House.

I made a formal setting for our Christmas dinner and wish I had taken a photo. I had a white cloth, and place mats of Egyptian scenes I got at the Met Museum of art in New York. They are beautiful. All the dishes and servers matched (a feat) but I used cups and saucers for the coffee from a different set. Tell me that's all right. The lamb roast was just right. I loved doing it -- wore me out though.

We were all together on Christmas Eve and then with Bobby and Ellie and the
children on Sunday. That was the best present of all.

I'm glad we got that table setting thing all settled! Glad you had a fun time with friends and good food. I had leftover tuna casserole with squash for my "Christmas" dinner. Oh, yum! A brownie for dessert. I'm not complaining--just commenting. I think Mike envied me for not having to prepare a lavish dinner.

I see! The stripe was horizontal one year, and vertical the next year. Very important distinction! My dishes in Colorado have a scene on them and I always make sure it is right-side-up for each place setting.

My work day went well, not too busy or hectic, and I received many calls and e-mail greetings throughout the day. Just opened gifts over a nice glass of wine and will move on to a late dinner (sirloin, latkes, Brussels sprouts, artichokes and spinach. Ice cream and gingerbread biscotti for dessert. Yum. Thank you for thinking of me, and I've been wishing you and Mike the best, too. All the best!

I had the radio on all day while I was busy in the house and the repeats of the same Christmas songs have really taken their toll. Radio is off for the evening while I'm at the 'puter and things will be back to normal by tomorrow. Hopefully the tree and everything else will be tucked away also. We had an excellent pork roast! Really juicy and crisp on the outside like Donna likes it. Happy New Year!
