I tell ya,it gets so frustrating with your stubborn loved ones that just will not take care of themselves for anything.You get this I'm trying.Oh really if you were trying you would stop smoking now that they have put you on oxygen.HUH??!!This person has told me that some of the behavior is for attention (unknowingly).I can only give so much as y'all have read in my blog.I have a Post Traumatic husband trying to deal with retirement,1 1/2 yr old,9 yr old ,my hot flashes.I try i really do.Evidently it isn't enough at some point i need YOU to step up and want to live 5-10 more yrs.I need YOU to want a better life for yourself.I'm just at my wits end.I just don't know what to do about it.I mean if i don't show up they feel neglected.I only had so many things to do that time got away and i didn't make it.Oh I'm sorry just -not sure....

My husband's friend's mother choose smoking over her legs. She has diabetes, and lost her feet. 
They are going to do what they want. You can't force it no matter how hard you try.
