WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. military mistakenly shipped four triggers for nuclear missiles to Taiwan in 2006, the Pentagon said on Tuesday, adding the parts have been returned to U.S. custody.
The military was supposed to ship helicopter batteries to Taiwan but instead sent fuses used as part of the trigger mechanism on missiles.
No nuclear material was shipped to Taiwan, Pentagon officials said.

That's scary. What a bunch of asshats. I'm always shocked by the number of "mistakes" that occur with the Government (military) - lucky no nuke material was shipped. Geez. I know none of us are perfect but come on!

So it makes it ok that no nuclear (nucular, if GW is reading this) material was shipped!

Par for the gov't course. They will never, ever be as competent as most private sector companies b/c they're using OUR money, not their own. There's no motive to be frugal, careful or efficient.
