How do you equate more high risk behavior, such as these loans with Federal government interference? If anything, deregulation is more the culprit than anything. This is more of the effects of that whole Free Market/deregulation myth that is nothing more than a systematic dismantling of the middle class. Had there been regulations enforced, then as you said, many of these people wouldn't have even got the loans. But don't oversimplify, these are not all because of that. Not everyone who is in trouble were High risk individuals... https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/15/AR2008031502404.html?wpisrc=newsletter
Love the double standard here, instead of the republican manta of "oh quit whining and pull yourself up by your bootstraps" that everyone else gets, banks get direct interventions...
Thats all, last I looked it was going for over 160,000
All about the money...in war, men are but tools to an end..
Great minds think alike. You beat me to this one, I just heard about it this afternoon in an interview with RFK Jr. and David Rose.
They are cute!
I think it is hysterical the drumbeat over this. It's because there is nothing substantial anyone can really put out there on Obama himself, so they try to merge him and Reverend Wright into one. Unlike McCain who sought out the endorsements of Hagee, and his "spiritual Advisor" Rod Parsley who stated...
"The fact is that America was founded, in part, with the intention of seeing this false religion destroyed, and I believe September 11, 2001, was a generational call to arms that we can no longer ignore."
Ok do we want EVERY person who follows this religion to feel threatened with McCain calling this Nutball extremist his spiritual advisor, NOT rejecting his statements as Obama did with Reverend Wrights.
What is that phrase...Beating a dead horse. That is what the right is doing with this story. When this story fades, the right will have to attack another way, probably exposing themselves as the racists they are. Immigration issues prove it, Katrina and New Orleans proved it, and the drum beat on this and to come against Obama will prove it.
Thorazine is one of the worst, as far as effects like that on patients. And I have seen doctors order it for stupid stuff too, like hiccups...
Welcome aboard.
Suggestions to end it, that is the hard part, and will require lots of thought. Certainly the international courts need to get involved, I don't see a solution at the moment from "within"..
Ahh, lecture on Racism from an anorexic white girl who can't vote in the proper district. I could feel the peering of her Adam's apple by the second paragraph.
He could have overlooked the bad his preacher stated for the good he felt he did. Look at Bush, claims to go to church but missed ever lecture about not killing, stealing, helping the sick or feeding the poor (makes me wonder what he did catch while attending mass)
We have Bed shortages here now. I have experienced them in Kentucky and in Delaware now. That is not really something contained to "socialized" medicine or not. If a facility is trying to make money, sometimes they Admit patients they don't really need to, or keep them longer than they should, or keep them until certain staff come in (after the weekend, because staffing the weekend is more expensive) before they get certain Diagnostic procedures.
Still, we rank I believe it was 35th in the world in our health care, behind the nation that you are pointing out the criticisms of.
So why is the Health care that is provided to congress "socialism" when it is applied to us, when it reduces corporate expendatures by providing at no cost to the business a healthy workforce that does not require the company to provide for their healthcare? How is this system, applied to Healthcare, more socialism than say our tax dollars used as subsidies to non-US or international corporations who pay no or reduced taxes in the private sector to provide other infrastructure needs?
I so wanted to attend that conference this year, but work schedule kept me from it, But next year, I am so there!!!
Hey, at least your accent doesn't make people think you are a brain dead hick..LOL. One who can't dance at that...
