Six-2 Precinct. Bensonhurst Brooklyn....
Land of Saturday night Fever....Guido's driving Daddy's Caddy down 86th street, under the L Tracks.....best known for the Pizzerias, Italian ices, and thugs carrying violin cases...lol
The best Precinct to walk a foot patrol.....
This was a house to stay assigned to....unless you wanted promotion...The main task was keeping traffic moving....and not tripping over the merchandise that "FELL" off the truck.
The smells of Italian cooking, back door meals at the finest establishments.
This community was a fine example of NYC life....boardering bourough park, Coney island and the Brightons....
The home of Vinnie, Joey, Paulie,Frankie......
The worst calls for an abandoned car w/ a foul odoer comming from the trunk...
I rememeber responding to CIH (Coney Island Hosp) for a Poss. DOA(likely) a few short weeks after a DEA agent had been shot and killed in Staten Island....
The vic. was shot 107 times.....I remember rolling him to count the holes and rounds falling and clicking to the ER floor....there must have been a gallon of blood on the floor....It seems 'someone' found the individual responcible for the agents death before the 62 squad did....
They took care of their own in that neighbor hood....with a certain street justice.....
