The Economy in Simple Terms

BRILLIANTLY EXPLAINED!

This came from the President of a manufacturing company in New Jersey .

This cuts through all the political doublespeak we receive and explains the problem in a logical, common sense way.

Lesson # 1:
* U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
* Fed budget: $3,820,000,000,000
* New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
* National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
* Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

Let's now remove 8 zeros from each of the figures and pretend it's a household budget:

* Annual family income: $21,700
* Money the family spent: $38,200
* New debt on the credit card: $16,500
* Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
* Total budget cuts so far: $38.50

Got it ?

Chhyeah, $16 TRILLION in debt. Don't mind paying taxes? Come on. If it helps the country... That's like saying, I don't mind being robbed and my house broken into if it helps the drunk buy beer.

You know, of course, this is just sarcastic humor.

He seemed to have problems with the government.
Maybe he should run for an office there.

I would not win in a million years. Most voters want a smooth talker with good hair who will promise all kinds of free money. Not someonw who waould say "buck up, and create your own destiny".

Strangely enough, Ed and I are not hurting and we don't mind paying taxes if it will help the country. Howz about you? Your money is in the Caymans?

I mind dearly paying taxes as 90% are wasted on programs that are not needed or programs that the government has no business sticking their noses in.

And how many millions are they (both parties) spending on the unnecessary conventions? And, OMG!, the billions they are spending!!! Why bother with a budget???

What's sad about your figures is that too many middle class families are ONLY making $21, 700--I think the new figures show that middle class families have lost more than $30,000 compared to how a middle class was defined before.
