It seems that people today have a difficult time in waiting. Everything must happen now. We must have something now. We need to get the new job now. We need a new car, computer, or some other material thing, now. It doesn't matter if we have the money. Get it now. Just use the credit card, or get a loan if needed, or borrow the money. Don't worry if you can pay it back or not, or if you find yourself in debt. The most important thing is that we need this new thing now.
The question we need to be asking ourselves is do we really need this material thing now?
I have learned that it really is true that "good things come to those who wait." When I have waited, I have gotten something much better than I ever could have imagined.
Our society is one of "now, now, now". Instant gratification,no matter what the cost or who we hurt in the process.
I encourage everyone who reads this to stop and reflect on their own life and consider if what they feel they need is truly a need in their life, or merely a want or desire.
