I know I griped earlier about ABC(at least my local affiliate and their beef with DISH Network.) I have a new one...they have become the graveyard of shows that were dropped by other networks. First of all they picked up Scrubs(great show on NBC) yet most of the cast don't want to continue after this season(including the creator and head writer Bill Lawrence.) My rant actually has to do with the fact they are willing to pick up canceled shows yet not put faith in the ones they themselves greenlit in the first place. Prime example...Pushing Daisies. That show was awesome. Also...Eli Stone. PD was more of a fan than me. I'll admit that ABC does keep some shows like Desperate Housewhores and Grey's Asshole(I mean Anatomy.) I'm not a fan of either show yet America loves them for some odd reason. I guess I'm upset that ABC didn't give Pushing Daisies a chance. In case you were one of the people that didn't watch the show...it was about a guy named Ned the Pie Maker who had a gift since childhood to bring back the dead with a single touch. The catch was that a second touch killed them again and he couldn't bring them back. Another catch...if he doesn't do that second touch within 60 seconds someone else within close proximity had to die in their place. He owned a business called the Pie Hole where he made pies. He has a girlfriend named Chuck(yes she's a girl)who was murdered and he brought back to life. She was his childhood friend and sweetheart. He can never touch her or his dog Digby(the dog was how he discovered his gift at childhood.) He is also a part-time Private Investigator with a man name Emerson Cod. Emerson recruited him when he discovered Ned's gift. Ned uses it to bring murder victims back from the dead to question them. He only has 60 seconds to do so. The episodes are basically solving murders. It was a comedy. I'll miss that show.
