The laughter died when George Carlin passed away last night. For those few of you who don't know who he was, he was the comedian that did the routine on the seven dirty words you are not allowed to say on T.V. I won't say those mention those words here because I don't want to violate the terms of MyBloggers and get my post deleted. On a personal note, I did enjoy his comedy ever since I was old enough to understand it(yet not old enough to be listening to the language coming out of his mouth.) I met him once when he was staying at the Salishan Resort here on the Oregon Coast. He was doing a concert at Chinook Winds Casino five years ago before they bought the old Shilo Inn next door. I was working at the Salishan as a front desk agent at the time. I actually told him I was a huge fan and wished him luck. He said thanks and asked me to break a hundred dollar bill for him. I wish I could have went to that concert because I've only seen him on HBO. He was not only a good comedian but a funny actor. He had a short lived series on Fox. Had small roles in several movies. Some of those included voice work in children's cartoons and the conductor of Shiny Time Station where Thomas the Tank Engine hung out.
He will be missed.
