I love it!!! I have a sister like that.... I still hang my Mom's old one up, plus I have a humming bird bush that they LOVE!!!! Have you ever seen their thimble size bird nests with eggs or babies??!! AMAZING is all I can say!!
I just had to LOL!!! It brings back memories of my Mom stealing my sisters keys to drive her brand new car to the store at 6am to get her first grandson his favorite cookies, she comes home with 6 boxes of Nilla Wafers all happy...the part of the story is she had lost her driving privileges a year or so earlier...she died that summer...but she was so proud of herself, I can still see her grin!!!! As some of you know my Mom was only 54 when she died so this was way back in 1984, it was our DAD that felt like you Steve!! In Paradise, it is more than 50% retired folks....some are allowed out on the first for their banking and LOOK OUT!!!
Yes we humans can be real sick F*+%#! I am so glad I am a vegetarian!!!
You said it best Judge!!! Always remember that someone elses JUNK is eventually someones TREASURE!!! Butte County is famous as well for the old time junkers!! I had to put a sign on 2 cars when we first moved to this house!! "PLEASE do not park in front of my house on my property"!!!!! We live on a culdesac and it is an eyesore!!
Dottie then please KEEP painting!!! Minute by minute hour by hour will eventually turn into weeks and months....Do what YOU need to do... take extra special care of yourself Dottie!!! I am so happy to know your sister has been there with you this week!!!! I know it is a difficult time right now for you Dottie, but we are here for you day after day...you just let us know what you are needing!!!
Hey James!!! Sorry about your luck this week!! It may be time to rethink the nursing career. There are always going to be people in every day life that do not take responsibilty for thier words and actions!!! You are bigger than that Doctor James!!!! I interviwed with a Methodone Clinic in Chico this morning, and am anxiously awaiting my second interview to be scheduled. Someone from corporate in Canoga Park wanted to meet with me???!!! This may be my JOB I have been trying ever so patiently to wait a YEAR for!!! I'll keep you posted. Ayla and I decided before this latest forest fire, to move to Chico, only 12 miles down the hill in the valley. Now it is ASAP!!! Going to go get boxes soon, my 19 yo daughter will be returning to Sacramento and resuming her UPS job there!!! I've lived in the mountains since 1982, it's time for a change, especially with gas going to be $7 by the end of summer!! I can walk, bike and ride the transit buses in the valley!!! Be well James, Barb
(((((((((((((((((( Dottie ))))))))))))))))))))
I am so sorry to hear of your son's suicide Dottie!!! I am thinking of you at this devastating time in your life...I come from a family where suicide has debilitated at least three generations in my family!! Mental Illness is alive and well within my world. As you know, we are the ones left to handle all that comes with the death of a loved ones. I will check on you more often and try to take extra special care of yourself Dottie. Painting may be theraputic for you, you are such an incredible artist....time does heal... Barb
So happy to see all 4 of you, plus the dog so happy Fredo!! May I ask how old your daughter's are? There are 4 daughters in my family and we are currently 45, 46 (me), 48 and 51!!! I do not know how my Dad handled all of us 5 kids after our Mom died in 1984!!! I always have such a lovely Father's Day even though my Dad died in early 2002. Just the wonderful memories of all of those years of Father's Day!! Thanks for sharing with us, you are a beautiful family Fredo!!
Like my Mom used to always say...."thank goodness we are all so different, how boring our worlds would be if we were all conformed to "Societies" Ideals!! Some of my wonderful friends are covered in tattoos, (ex-gang members and ex-cons) both Female & Male!!!! They would give me literally the SHIRT off of their backs!!! They also love their body peircings!!??? I on the other hand only have 3 holes in each ear and an ankle tattoo that was done in the 1970's!!! I'm with you on the SHUDDERING and CRINGING!!!!! Thank you very much I will not be mutilating my body today nor any day!!!
Wow, that is a huge accomplishment Steve!! Congrats to you both!!! The longest relationship I have had was 5 years when I was a firefighter back in the 1980's!!! The only other thing I have done for a couple of decades is be a Mom for the last 21 years!! I prefer being single and married only to myself!! I know I am not an easy person to live with sometimes, so thankfully I never got married as they would of ended in the big D most likely!!! Do more than hold hands Steve!!! At least kiss each other 40 times in a day...or something...
The one positve I can glean from that fateful day in Dec. 2000, I got rid of my TV forever!!!!!!!!!! Now I read alternative news from other countries and listen to "Democracy Now" with Amy Goodman, and many others!!! It's the generations that follow us that are going to be living this nightmare for many generations to come!!??? ACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Hi Dottie!!! So good to hear from you!!!!! I know what you mean, I did the same thing, especially when I was still in my wheelchair last year!! It was a daily activity. Now my life is so full and busy I don't think I have posted in many months!! Anyhow, I love your latest painting, kinda sounds like you will be researching other areas to move to? Where would you like to live as an artist and woman? Be well and I look forward to reading more from you!! Barb from Paradise!!!
