Knitting with New Friends

I have always been a solitary knitter, sit in my chair, watch the ball game and knit ( crochet ) my family is around but they pretty much know not to annoy me when I am busy. I found a local knitting group through a knitting web site and had the experience of sitting with a group, chit-chating, knitting, just hanging out for a couple of hours. That was so enjoyable. Thank you nittineddles for leading me to Ravelry.

In Las Vegas there was a goth knitting group that met in a bar, and they made it clear that they were looking for knitters with lots of tattoos, piercings, and odd hair.

fortunately this group is pretty tame. Now I have been in Star Trek groups that were pretty "goth". ..Klingons - what ya goin' do?

Isn't it great? Glad you found a nice knitting group. I love the way I can organize my projects on there.
How do you convey the message that you're busy when you're watching TV with your feet up?
