Gee, what a difference a day makes. I was really dragging yesterday, and it was pretty much all my fault for having too much fun on Friday night. Even though I went to bed late last night, I got plenty of sleep and caught up.
I stayed up thinking R would be home sometime but he decided he would come in at the same time I came in late Friday night, around 4...lol. R's cousin is getting married next Saturday and he had his bachelor party at home last night, playing cards with the guys.
So R and I both got to go have fun with adults this weekend, and even my daughter got to have fun with her school friend and went to a birthday party/sleepover on Friday evening.
It is warm again here today, in the mid-eighties. Being the committed procrastinator that I am, and R too, we have yet to put out the yard sale. Our plan is to get more together today for it and put a really big one out tomorrow. On top of cleaning up this messy house.
I am really hoping that we get a lot of traffic going by tomorrow afternoon and evening, people going home from their Labor Day activities. School starts on Tuesday, so a big sale may be attractive enough for us to make a little dough.
It really amazes me that today is the last day of August and it is time to go back to school again. The summer seemed to go by fast. But I am glad that it is here because there is more of a routine and the days are more organized.
Well, I guess I should end this post here. I have a messy house to clean and straighten. (What am I saying? I am putting R and daughter to work too!) Red beans are in the crockpot and cornbread muffins are already baked so dinner will be ready later. After I cook the rice and mix it in the crockpot we will dine on yummy Southern cuisine. Yee ha!
