Grr. The one piece of paper I was looking for on the desk next to the computer and I can't find it. Anything else I could possibly want and no problem finding that! I don't know if the kids ate it or what. I mean, where could it be? It's not on the desk, not in the trash. Oh well.
I went to bed way too late and got up way too early. I thought it would be a short night out and lo and behold it wasn't. I'm too old to be single! And eat cheese fries at three in the morning.
The kids - my daughter and her precocious friend - wake up and immediately the volume is cranked on everything. The tv, their voices, the DDR game, whatever. Then the goofy little kids ask me if they can drink some coffee, and even promise to put lots of milk in it. They might as well just pour sugar down their throats.
It is cold this morning, afternoon, whatever. We have experienced every type of weather in Mid-Michigan in the past week short of tornado, hurricane, and tsunami. It was 60 degrees yesterday, and then throughout the night and into today the wind is just gusting loudly. The temperature has dropped into the freezing range and the living room is chilly. It always is when it is cold and windy, as I think the insulation and windows suck at keeping out that cold.
Thankfully, it is quiet now other than the wind. R has been all over me the past couple of days like a horny dog and he got called this morning to go to work for a few hours. My daughter and her friend decided they would go over to her friend's house to drive her parents crazy for awhile. I am so glad for the peace and quiet. If only it were warmer at the computer.
I think this is the best opportunity I have to get a nap in. I haven't ruined my chances by downing half a pot of coffee and there isn't (so far) anyone here to interrupt a little bit of slumber. The thought of soft sheets and a warm comforter is calling my name. If you hear someone snoring, that's me. Shh, don't tell anyone, though.
