A
Simple Operation

In Israel
I didn't follow National Health procedures, so I had to pay a corrupt clerk
$100 for my cataract operation. Otherwise, it would have been free.
In India,
the same procedure costs $10.
In the USA
the operation costs upwards of $5000.
The present plans for the USA
won't work, because the present system has no social redeeming value.
Consumers, medical professionals and administrators are mostly warped.
The first job is to increase the number of professionals radically and to cut
fee schedules to the level in India.
Drug companies should produce generics at Israeli Health Clinic prices.
To discourage hypochondria, patients should pay small fees for every visit and
medication.
To pay for this the personal income tax should be eliminated.
