Sarina needs all the help she can get to cope with this horrible event. It's as difficult ordeal as anyone can face.
If the perpetrator is a three-time offender, many states can put him away forever. Since many prison inmates have been victims, they punish offenders harshly.

Two week-end Pentagon stories [rumors] have emerged. 1. The US has abandoned plans to attack Iran. If the Israelis do it, they can not use bases in Iraq to stage the attack. 2. The US will make a phased withdrawal from Iraq beginning in September. They need the troops for Afghanistan.
Although these plans are reported in the Washington Post and cited by the HuffPost, they appear to be trial balloons. If the regime so acted, they would cut the legs from the McCain campaign.

Thank you for your insights. In our times a big threat to our liberty has been "the rule of men" versus "the rule of law." Too many leaders put themselves above the law. We can not allow the Unity Executive to order telecom companies to violate the Constitution. Impeachment should never go "off the table." The legislators who granted civil immunity should themselves be charged.

The only thing I miss about Blogster is the six or eight people who regularly attacked my ideas. It was challenging.

From boyhood I read everything within reach. After I saw the film "Boys from Brazil" I realized I could do better. After two books published and 500,000 words written, I graduated to be a hack writer.
After I took 10,000 pictures, I became a passable photographer same thing.

The best strategy is to avoid having a cellular phone. Second best is to leave your cell phone turned off. If the FBI traces your number, put your phone on a bus headed for Cow Snot, Wyoming. [I credit Bugg for this town.]

The Arrogance of Losers
How many times do we bankrupt ourselves for a WWII defense only to lose to Third World nations? Our military has floundered in three Asian land wars without a clear vision of the mission.
Our leaders are hard put to find the enemy on a road map. They showered Vietnam with Agent Orange that returned home with our troops. We gave toxic agents to Saddam only to have the prevailing winds blow them back to our bases. We handed out 500,000 small arms to Iraqis without any record.
We put Osama on the map as an Afghan resistance leader fighting the Russians.
To finance our wars, we borrowed from the Chinese. Now, they can buy a number of US States, proclaim them as colonies to employ slave labor and sell trinkets to the white people.
In the coming election the Republicans could lose every office up for grabs.
Street corner bums could do better.

Americans may do well to learn a second language to discover another viewpoint. Improved communication may discourage preemptive wars such as the ones we started in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq. Talking is less costly than fighting.
Since Republicans have no record to run on, they indulge in personal invective and lies. They attack Obama's wife even his kids aren't safe. It shows us what is in store for us if McCain wins.

I live in the Negev Desert, which I imagine has a climate similar to Tucson. My garden features lemon, date, palm and fig trees. We have surpluses we can trade for other foods. Our trick is to dig irrigation ditches around the trees to minimize water run off. We get fierce rainstorms and then we go dry six to eight months per year. The dry heat is very healthy.

The vacated bank buildings can be soup kitchens on the first floor and flop houses on the second. They could save on wallpaper if they used dollar bills.YPiR
