In the spirit world the souls are tiny and fly around all day. The souls vision themselves as the complete human body they had when alive. Also evil doers beings punished in hell, the avenging angels have vulture -like heads with big beaks. Seventeen hours per day the angels rip the 'flesh' from souls until they are bare bones. The bones collapse into the woods to be eaten by wild dogs [the souls of former convicted felons].
During the night the soul 'bodies' restore ready for another day of fleeing the avengers. Every Sabbath everybody gets a day of rest.
Congressmen [among others] earn a year of this punishment for each act of adultery.
