Was Anne Hathaway in on boyfriend’s arrest?

Is Anne Hathaway, the beautiful actress who played in The Devil Wears Prada, a copper’s nark? The question is posed in a Daily News gossip item about her former boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, who is currently in jail after being arrested on suspicion of running a property investment scam in which he pretended to be a representative of the Vatican to con wealthy investors out of millions of dollars.
The website reports that friends of Follieri are saying that the actress might have lured him back to the US so he could be arrested by the FBI. Says one: "He was in Europe, working on a deal. He didn’t have to come back to New York. He knew he was being investigated. But she kept calling him, saying they needed to resolve their future. A few days after his return, he was arrested."
Meanwhile, Hathaway, who has not been charged herself, has cut off all contact with her ex. "She’s changed her numbers so he can’t reach her," a friend is reported as saying. "Raffaello has been trying to call her all the time.†This has served to make Follieri, who is incarcerated in a 7 ft by 8 ft Metropolitan Correctional Center cell, very glum indeed. “Raffaello is doing very badly," says a friend who says Follieri had to be hospitalised for an anxiety attack the day he was locked up. "He says people are abusing him. He’s a broken man."
