I used to be co - owner of several horses, but that was in what seems to be, 'a previous' life.
I still miss them, although they are long gone by now
If - nay, 'when', I win the Euro lottery, I am going to buy a large acreage and breed Section D Welsh Cobs!

I was reading about some horse breeders here in the states and they said: "we started selecting horses that were not only gentle, but had speed and some cow in them." This means the ability to cut quickly and herd cows well.

I remember on some of the old western movies, sometimes the actors would refer to a 'Morgan' horse. I am pretty sure, this type was cross bred with an American breed & a Welsh breed. I wonder if it was a 'Cob' (of one of the smaller A, B or C types)? I will check that out.
I have just received a notification from Meteorological Office, for us to expect a bit of snow on Sunday/Monday - oh well, thought it was a bit too much to hope for . . . . . . (just so long as it a small, snowstorm) lol!

I didn't realize the third picture was too big - His (pet) name is Arnold, he has a superb neck and head too. He is the Sire of the foal pictured with his Dam.
Jed, the stallion at the top of the page is my favourite! He is a 'stunner'
The Welsh Cob's are my favourite type of horse. The little Section A at the bottom, has such a pretty 'dished' face
