May
I wish everybody on MyBloggers a belated happy New Year! A bit late I know, but the
wishes are sincere.
The
entire country (UK – not just here in Wales) have had an
onslaught
of snowy and very, very cold winds from Siberia.
Fortunately,
a thaw has begun – at least in my area anyway, but that of course heralds the
start of water courses breaking their banks and causing more stress to people
whose homes lie close to them. I thank goodness that we are not affected – it
is heart breaking when we see scenes of devastation on the media.
Changing
the subject, last year we (Bedrock & I) began watching a new drama on the
tv. It was entitled ‘Outlander’. WoW! We were engrossed with it!
When the series ended, I looked for the book
by Diana Gabaldon, to relive the story. I was so surprised that there were many
other volumes in the series! I had
such a surprise – I had not heard of any of them! I have since bought the eight
books and quite a few of the smaller novella’s.
Talk
about not being able to put a book down – each are so compelling. I am at
present, reading the fifth novel in the series ‘The Fiery Cross’ and I swear
that each subsequent volume is more intriguing than the last. A fabulous
author.
I
love the month of March. Spring begins and . . . the clocks change YaY! More
daylight, wonderful! Bye - bye Winter for a good few months.
