I think that is a Midwest saying for the thunder is on the way and maybe a tornado. Anyhow, that is what JR always says when the thunder starts rolling our way. Lately, it has been a daily event. Yesterday was especially scary. The storm was right over us so the lightening and thunder were just a breath apart. The whole house was shaking and Annie dog and myself were on the couch trembling. Well... more is expected today.

I love thunder and lightening storms as long as they are in the distance and not starting forest fires. But.... when they enter my personal space.... well... I'm not too happy about that.

We've had lots of rain with these storms so I don't think they have sparked any big fires. Usually, we have these storms later in the summer and no rain. We call them dry storms. A few years ago, a dry storm created several big fires which ended up burning together and we spent the whole summer choking in smoke. Not good.

Right now, the sun is shinning and so I think I'll let the dogs out for some exercise.
