I'm feeling like this squirrel... what happened to spring and sunshine????? The squirrels came out of hybernation a couple of weeks ago and now they are probably wondering why they didn't sleep a little longer.

Yep... we have snow, snow, and more snow here today. It is very heavy wet mushy snow. I'm not complaining as we can always use the moisture in this high dessert area. JR planted some grass seed when he was home and this will be good for it. One year he planted seed this late and we didn't have any more moisture and the seed didn't sprout.

I have a very old tall pine tree down by the corrals and this morning two huge branches are on the ground from the weight of the snow. It took out part of the fence. That tree is so old and big, it just keeps loosing a few more branches every winter or sometimes in summer wind storms. Pretty soon, it will just be a tall tree pointing to the sky without branches. I really like that tree or I would have JR cut it down. It is kinda dangerous and we never ever park under it.

Just a couple of days ago, the sun was sooooo warm and I was thinking it was time for the juniper berries to start popping as they pollinate. The tree will make this big pop noise and then we see the pollen dust floating in the air. It is quite fascinating. But today, I am seeing clouds of snow rising in to the air as the snow slides from the tree branches and crashes to the ground. Things sure change here quickly... but that is Oregon spring weather. lol
