Gettin' older by the minute... that is fer sure. I just came from goin' to town and seeing the Doc. He didn't have good news for me. Seems my test results came back and I'm diabetic. Now, I have to have more tests, go to an education class to learn 'bout this illness, and take another pill. He did say that this pill would fool my body in to thinkin' it had done some exercise and should help take care of the problem. Imagine that... a pill that makes my body think its being running and lifting weights. Of course, he did say that doing real exercise was the better choice, but he followed that up with a question as to whether or not I could manage such a lifestyle change. Geez... hated to admit it, but told him, "Probably not in this lifetime."
Oh well... I can already swallow a dozen pills at once, so I doubt if I have any problems swallowing jest one more. Let's see.... current health issues now include:
high blood pressure
high cholestral
high triglycerides
high sugars
high anxiety level
high uric acid levels
high liver levels
low energy levels
Doesn't look good... does it?????
I am in a really great mood inspite of the bad news. I had lunch at a Thai place with my sister and niece. My first time having Thai food. Loved it!!!! Then we went to a "suburb" of Klamath Falls called Merrill and shopped for quilting patterns and materials. They have a great quilt shop and that was lots of fun. My niece is going to make a quilt for me, so I was trying to figure out what I wanted. Wow... I liked almost everything I saw. I am sure that I want really bright rich colors... nothing pastel or blah.
Ohhhh... on the way home there was a bus wreck on the mountain. It was a tour bus, but had school kids on it. No one was hurt, but I bet that bus driver doesn't have a job anymore. I guess he tried to turn around and he got the back wheels over the embankment and the back half of the bus was hanging off the road. Now... why would he try to turn around on a mountain road???? I'll have to get tomorrow's newspaper and find out the rest of the story.
Ya'll have a great evening. Love ya all - Annie :o)
