One good thing about gay marriages - they won't be contributing to the gene pool.

My condolences in these days of sorrow. There are no words, only time and Faith.

A good post. I quoted some of the same individuals in my last post.

5-4 simply means "the people" narrowly missed a bullet in the heart, of our libertty, by four "useful idiots."

Now let me get this straight... you're a retired BB slinger? Far out!

I'm going to post something I think you will appreciate.

From Abraham Lincoln's first inaugural address... it began, "Fellow-citizens of the United States: In compliance with a custom as old as the government itself, I appear before you to address you briefly, and to take, in your presence, the oath prescribed by the Constitution of the United States, to be taken by the President "before he enters on the execution of this office."

I do not consider it necessary at present for me to discuss those matters of administration about which there is no special anxiety or excitement.

Apprehension seems to exist among the people of the Southern States, that by the accession of a Republican Administration, their property, and their peace, and personal security, are to be endangered. There has never been any reasonable cause for such apprehension. Indeed, the most ample evidence to the contrary has all the while existed, and been open to their inspection. It is found in nearly all the published speeches of him who now addresses you. I do but quote from one of those speeches when I declare that "I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so."

My friend,
For all intents and purposes, I agree with the gist of your post. Our ideological differences aside, all true patriots have been nauseated by every budget passed for nearly fifteen years. When these budgets are reviewed in detail it is quite obvious that the vast majority is waste. WASTE!

None of the candidates for president and damn few running for a congressional seat have any intention of changing that trend. All may pay lip service to "cutting waste", "balancing the budget", "reversing the trend".... but, when you calculate the costs associated with their chicken-in-pot promises... only the village idiots are believing it. And the rest don't care as long as they get to put their nose in the trough, too.

So, what do we do? The collapse is not that far away. Not far, at all.

The old line, Rome was not built in a day, but it looks like it now; comes to mind. I have been advocating - for decades - the principles of our Founders for this very reason.

"It's the Constitution, stupid!!!" should be our campaign slogan.

Good luck and save your empties,
A1
